2024 Vermont Mid-Amateur Championship

It is difficult to say farewell to our Vermont summer tournament season, but we couldn’t have gone out with a better weekend than we all just experienced. Haystack was picture-perfect today, the weather was absolutely amazing, and, once again, there was some pretty great golf being played.
Coming back from three strokes down in round 1, Lin Culver of Neshobe Golf Club shot an even par 74 round today to become the 2024 VSWGA Mid-Amateur Champion! Her 36-hole total was 10-over par (158). Lin adds another flag to her impressive display after also winning the 2024 VSWGA Senior Championship.

The Runner-Up position was determined by match of cards with Tiffany Maurycy of Copley Country Club taking the spot after carding a 5-over, 79 today to tally a two-day total of 160. In third place, Kristin Mahoney of Neshobe, the defending Champion, finished with an impressive second round score of 76, and totaling 160 as well. In fourth place was Jeanne Morrissey of Williston shooting a two-day total of 163. Fifth place was Reggie Parker of Ekwanok Country Club, also shooting 163.
In the Net Competition, Lois Dolan of Willison Golf Club carded a 6-under par net round today, for a two-day total of 3-under par net to take 1st place. Trish Wade of Crown Point captured the 2nd place price with a two day, 2-under par total. Third Place net was Jen Steck of Lake Morey Country Club shooting even par net over both rounds.

The Margaret Dick Team Competition was won by the ladies of Williston. They are a strong (and large – there were 14 of them in the field!) group of women who put up a total of 473 over the two rounds. The Cedar Knoll team came in Second Place with 512 total strokes over two rounds.
