VSWGA State Days are weekly one-day 18-hole stroke play events that bring members together for some friendly competition. In 2022, we have 51 State Day events scheduled beginning May 3rd. See the Schedule, with 2-3 courses to choose from each Tuesday–and a few Mondays. There are venues in northern, central and southern Vermont. We end the season with a day of golf, food, and fun at our annual Fall Awards Classic on September 27 at Lake Morey Country Club.
Fees for State Days are paid by credit card when registering in Golf Genius. The VSWGA fee for all courses is $10.00 and includes the closest-to-the-pin contest, for which half the proceeds benefit Junior Golf. Additionally, Players pay the pro shop for greens fees, usually $20 to play 18-hole courses and $15 for 9-hole courses. Cart price and requirement will vary by course.
Players register for a state day by requesting a tee time using our on-line tournament management software, Golf Genius.
Participants receive Award Points toward winning the Janet Lang Trophy. Clubs compete for the Mae Murray Jones Cup in three divisions. See Awards for more information on state day points and awards.
