Eleven State Day events will offer eligible players the choice of playing from forward tees instead of regular tees. Courses that are offering two sets of tees are listed below.
Procedure:
Courses that are offering two sets of tees will be noted on event registration page. The player must select forward tees when registering. The tee sheets sent to the club and club rep will have the assigned tee with the player’s name. Players must play from the the tee assigned on the tee sheet. If they play from a different tee, they will be disqualified. Players may sign up with players who are using a different tee.
Eligibility:
Players must have a handicap index equal to or greater than 25 at noon the day before the event. On that day, the handicap index of the forward tee players will be checked. If a player’s handicap index has dropped below 25, they will be reassigned to the regular tees and sent an email notifying them of the change in tee assignment. There is no penalty for this reassignment.
Scoring:
Members playing from the forward tees will have their own flight. Points will be awarded dependent on the number of players in the flight. Only net winners will be awarded points. If there are 1-5 forward tee players, first net will be awarded; 6-10 players, first and second net will be awarded; if there are 11 plus players, first, second and 3rd net will be awarded.
