How to Register Online:
Tournament Management Software powered by Golf Genius is used to register for all VSWGA events. The player needs to complete a one-time player profile in Golf Genius. Once the profile is complete, a player must update their information each year (i.e., e-mail address and member club), as necessary.

For each state day event, the player needs to register and pay $10 by credit card, which includes $2 for the Closest to the Pin contest. You may register 1-4 players at a time. Note that if you register more than one person, you will need to pay for any extra person.  For example, if you register a group of 4 you will need to pay $40 on your credit card.

Instructions for registering for a state day in Golf Genius (link to a PDF file)

When To Register:
Registration will open two Fridays prior to each State Day. Registration for a particular State Day will close at noon on the Thursday before that State Day.

Reserving Carts: When carts are listed as limited for a State Day, you must call the Pro Shop of the host golf course to reserve a cart. If you cancel a State Day at any time, you must also call the Pro Shop to cancel the reservation of the cart.

Posting of Pairings:
State Day pairings will typically be emailed to all players in the field and posted on Golf Genius by noon on the Friday before the scheduled State Day.

Changes after Online Registration is Closed:
Changes to a State Day reservation can be made by calling the Pro Shop of the host club beginning Saturday morning through 6PM the day prior to the State Day. They will accept cancellations and possibly additions. If you cancel, you must also cancel your reserved cart.

Late Additions: If you wish to sign up for a State Day after the original tee sheet is created on Friday, you must call the Pro Shop beginning Saturday morning to see if there is a tee time available. You may register for a State Day up until 6:00 p.m. on the date prior to the event. If you are able to get a tee time, go to Golf Genius and register as a late addition for $15. Arrive at the course for your tee time. Let the rep know that you were a late add when you turn in your scorecard. Note that we will NOT be providing refunds for late add cancelations. If you cancel or don’t show up, you will NOT be refunded your $15.

Cancellation Refund Information:
If you cancel before the Friday before the State Day you will get a full refund of $10.
If you cancel from the Friday to the Monday before the State Day you will get a $9 refund.
If you cancel on Tuesday you will not receive a refund.
If you registered late by calling the pro shop to get a tee time and paying the $15 late fee, there is no refund for cancellations.

Paying for Course Green Fee and Cart Fee
Pay in the pro shop for your greens fees and cart fees the day of the event. Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your tee time, and wear a mask when in or near the pro shop. Plan to pay the course fee ($20 for an 18-hole course or $15 for a 9-hole course, plus tax, and cart fee with a credit card. Cash will not be accepted.
