Tournament Management Software powered by Golf Genius is used to register for all VSWGA events. Log into Golf Genius, register for the event, and pay by credit card.
Prior to registering for any event, a player must:
- maintain or establish a player profile in Golf Genius;
- maintain or establish a Vermont GHIN through a VSWGA member course, or other organizations that offer GHIN services to its members such as Lakeside through the Vermont Golf Association;
- pay the annual VSWGA membership fee (“Membership Payment” in Golf Genius).
State Day Registration
1) Log into Golf Genius with your user name and password
2) View “Tournament Registration”
3) Choose the course and pay the VSWGA fee of $15
4) Complete the details and select a tee time
One, two, three, or four players may be registered as a group for each event except lottery events. If you register more than just yourself, you must pay for each additional person when you register. If a player in your group needs to cancel their registration, that individual should cancel themselves. Note: The person who registered the group cannot cancel their own registration without deleting the entire group! If the group registrant needs to cancel, they must email vswgaquestions@gmail.com to do so.
A small portion of the registration fee for each player funds the closest to the pin contest; 1/2 the proceeds support Junior Golf initiatives in Vermont.
VSWGA members may register to bring a guest to a State Day in Golf Genius.
When To Register: Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. two Fridays prior to each State Day, however, Lottery events will open three Fridays prior to the event. It’s important to register early–as close to 7:00 a.m. as possible–to secure a spot in the most popular State Days. Registration will close at 7:00 AM the day before each State Day. No late additions are accepted following this cutoff time.
Posting of Pairings: State Day pairings and event information is emailed to all players in the field and posted in Golf Genius on the Friday prior to the event.
Changes to Registration Before the State Day: Players may change their reservation in Golf Genius until 7:00 AM the day prior to the State Day. Any registrant canceling after 7:00 AM the day prior to the event must phone the Club and notify the VSWGA via vswgaquestions@gmail.com.
Do not block a tee time for a group unless you are certain of the group commitment to that event and tee time. Tee times may be adjusted prior to the event following registration, however, it is unfair to other registrants to hold a tee time and not keep it.
Cancellation Refunds:
• Registrations canceled after 7:00 AM the day before an event will not receive a refund.
• Cancellations received prior to 7:00 AM the day before an event receive a refund of $5.
Forward Tees: Some courses offer forward tees (reduced yardage). Should a player want to play from forward tees, they must register to do so when completing their registration in Golf Genius.
Reserving Carts: For those courses listed as having limited availability for carts, registrants must call the Pro Shop of the host golf course to reserve a cart. If you reserve a cart and then cancel your State Day registration, you must also call the course to cancel your cart.
Lottery Events Popular events with limited tee times are listed as lottery events on the State Day Schedule. Registration for these events will be done by lottery. More about Lottery Events
