VSWGA State Days are weekly one-day 18-hole stroke play events that bring members together for some friendly competition. In 2025, we have 54 State Day events scheduled beginning April 29, with venues in northern, central and southern Vermont. See the Schedule and results, with several courses to choose from each week. We end the season with a day of golf, food, and fun at our annual Fall Awards Classic.
Points are awarded for placing gross and net in State Day Events. Participants accumulate award points over the season and can win awards at the end of the season for individual points, club points, and lowering your handicap the most in each division. Individuals with the most points overall compete for the the Janet Lang Trophy. Clubs compete for the Mae Murray Jones Cup in three divisions. See Awards for more information on state day points and awards.
