Treasurer

I am a 1979 graduate of New Hampshire College (now known as Southern New Hampshire University), AS in Business with a focus on Accounting. I am a 63-year-old wife, mother, and grandmother who took up golf when the husband did back in the early 90s as I was determined not to spend my weekends home alone while he was out golfing! Since then I have played more (and played competitively) than he will ever play! Now that I am partially retired, I am enjoying time with my children and grandchildren. They are learning the game and we look forward to family scrambles in the near future.

I retired in November 2019 after 30 years as the Director of Finance & Administration at Rhino Foods, Inc. in Burlington VT. Starting in 1989 after a few years working for a small accounting firm in Montpelier (audits and monthly client write-ups) and another food business in Burlington, I grew with the company as we grew the business from $400k annually to over $40,000,000 annually when I retired. I managed all financial responsibilities from payroll, insurance, treasury and general ledger, presenting trial balances to our CPA for our annual reviewed financial statements. I have full knowledge of GAAP and internal control requirements and best practices. I also have experience managing human resources and IT. I have also served as a Finance Committee member of STEPS to End Domestic Violence (formerly Women Helping Battered Women) and volunteered for Let’s Grow Kids.

I am excited to be elected as a member of the board of the VSWGA and to serve in the role of Treasurer for this wonderful organization. Being a member of the VSWGA has gained me lasting friendships over the years and the opportunity to continue to play competitive golf. I would hope that my participation on the board can help the organization continue to grow and provide opportunities for women (young & old) in their pursuit of the great game of golf!
