Although a relatively recent Vermonter (I moved here in 2021 after several years of being a nomadic travel), I count myself as a New Englander through and through. I grew up in Massachusetts and went to school in Maine (Colby). After returning to grad school in my 40s to get an MBA, I moved to San Francisco where I happily lived for almost 18 years. Amazingly, while in CA I took a complete hiatus from the game of golf. Eventually, I found I was craving a chance to live in winter once again and so came back east. Only once in Vermont did I pick back up the game I’d started playing in my 20s. Joining the VSWGA has been such a fantastic way to not only ease back into the sport, but also meet a whole community of fascinating women. State Days have given me an excuse to explore the nooks and crannies of this new state that is my home. Who knew such a brave little state could have so many golf courses!
