Ruth Raymond Jones Memorial Senior Amateur Championship

Format: Two-day, 36-hole stroke play event.
Entry Fee: $165 includes entry, practice round, and lunch. Carts fee is not included.

Registration and Refund Deadline: 3:00 PM Monday, June 23.
- Registration is done through Golf Genius.
- Players will be placed on a “Pending Registration” list until two weeks prior to the event when the field will be determined.
- Once registration closes, if the field size is exceeded, a wait list will be created.
Field Size: The field size is limited to 100 players. Should the field size be exceeded, registrants will be placed on a wait list and informed of their place on the list as the tournament nears. Preference will be given to the 100 lowest handicap index players.
Eligibility for Competition:
To participate in the Senior Amateur, a player must be at least 50 years of age with a USGA Handicap Index of 36.0 or less by the first day of the event.
Registrants must also meet one of the following resident scenarios as outlined below.
Vermont Resident*
- Vermont resident and
- a member in good standing of a VSWGA member club, and
- an active GHIN handicap issued by a VSWGA member club, and
- have posted a minimum of 10 rounds in the last 12 months at any VSWGA member club.
OR:
Non-Vermont Resident*
- a member in good standing of a VSWGA club for at least three years and
- an active GHIN handicap issued by a VSWGA member club and
- have posted a minimum of 10 rounds in the last 12 months at any VSWGA member club.
*Legal residency is defined as the player’s place of primary residence (where registered to vote or the state listed on driver’s license).
Awards: There will be an awards ceremony immediately following the final round. Trophies will be awarded to the Champion, Runner-Up, Super Senior and Legend winners. All players are eligible to win the overall championship trophy, however the player that wins the overall championship is not eligible for the Super Senior or Legend trophy. A player may win either Super Senior (age 65-69) or Legend trophy (age 70 and over) and also receive a gross or net prize.
The number and amount of prizes and Universal Certificates will be awarded based on the number of players in the tournament. All certificates expire on September 30th of the following year.
Tee Times: Tee times generally range between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM off the 1st and 10th tee, and will be e-mailed to participants/are available through the Golf Genius portal approximately five days before the tournament start date.
Registration/Check-In: Registration/Check-in will take place the morning of the first day of tournament play from one hour prior to the first scheduled tee time until one hour prior to the final tee time.
Caddies: No golf professional is allowed to caddie for any competitor.
