Junior Amateur Championship
Vermont Juniors are eligible to play in the VSWGA Amateur Championship, which also serves as the Vermont Girls Junior Amateur Championship. Registration for the VSWGA Amateur Championship is free for Vermont Juniors, however they must join the VSWGA (also free to Juniors), have an active Vermont GHIN handicap (available free from the Vermont Golf Association), and meet the tournament eligibility and handicap requirements.
Juniors who wish to be eligible for a net prize must have posted a minimum of 10 rounds of golf in Vermont within the last 12 months. Juniors must register for the tournament in Golf Genius. Parents and guardians are not allowed to caddy for Juniors.
A Junior Amateur Champion will be crowned and a trophy awarded. Juniors are eligible to win the overall Amateur Champion trophy and points (chits).
Juniors with a GHIN Handicap Index not greater than 10.0 are also eligible to compete in the New England Golf Association Women’s Amateur Championship.
