Congratulation to the 2025 Vermont Amateur Champion, Hailey Katona of Green Mountain National Golf Course!
Unfortunately, the finish of the final round was dramatic for the wrong reason. With almost three whole BVD’s (Beautiful Vermont Days) in the books, mother nature decided to shake things up and throw a storm at us with only two groups left on the course. We had a couple of stutter-starts before the rain finally cleared and our leaders were able to get back out on the course and finalize their rounds.
Hailey posted a dominant 54-hole total of 219 (68-75-76) to claim the Champions trophy by 13 strokes.
There was quite a match for the runner-up spot with Keely Culligan of Dorset Field Club (79-74-79) and Carson Richards of Burlington Country Club (74-80-78) battling stroke-for-stroke throughout the round. In the end, with each shooting 232 over three rounds, it was left up to a match of cards with Keely coming out on top. Lin Culver of Neshobe Golf Course placed 4th shooting 235 (77-76-82). Tekla Fine-Lease of Ralph Myhre Golf Course took 5th with 236 (77-80-79).
The Junior Trophy goes to Namo Taulson of Cedar Knoll Country Club who posted a 54-hole total of 270 (95-84-91).
The Net winner of the Championship Division was also one of our Junior players, Rylee Makay of Vermont National Country Club, shooing a three round net score of -1.
Second Net was won by Mary Brush of Burlington Country Club with a three round net score of +7. And yet another Junior player, Stella Rakochy of Kwiniaska Golf Club took the Third place Net prize after shooting a +11 net score over three rounds.

The Paquet Cup was presented to the Ladies of Williston Golf Club at our Round 2 Awards Ceremony.
