Final Results
The VSWGA Senior tournament is always a reminder of things we love about the VSWGA. The first major of the season, the camaraderie, and especially the great golf. And boy, there was some great golf over the past two days.
Lin Culver of Neshobe Golf Club held onto her day 1 lead, shooting a 72 (even par) on day 2 to become the 2026 VSWGA Senior Champion! Her 36-hole total was an 1-under par (143)–yet another impressive achievement to add to her golf accomplishments!
The Runner-Up position was won by Gretchen White of Williston Golf Club. She shot an 81 on Day 2, for a two day total of 155, 11-over. In third place, Jeanne Morrissey, also from Williston Golf Club, shot a 77 on day 2 with a two-day total of 156. Tiffany Maurycy from Killington Golf Club and Kristin Mahoney from Neshobe Golf Club rounded out the top five, both shooting a two-day total of 159.
In the Net Competition, Janet Hayden of Williston Golf Club carded a two-day total of 134, 10-under par net to take 1st place. Sue Dula from Basin Harbor Golf Club took a close 2nd on a match of cards 134. Third place went to Michelle Schwartz from Cedar Knoll Golf Club at 135, and 4th and 5th place went to Lois Dolan from Williston Golf Club and Delina Gilroy from Williston Golf Club, both at 136, 8-under par.
The Pat Job Cup was was won by the ladies of Williston Golf Club. They are a strong (and large – there were 23 of them in the field! Go Williston!) group of women who put up a total of 417 over the two rounds. The Neshobe team came in second place with 427 total strokes over two rounds and Cedar Knoll Country Club came in with a two day total of 440.
The Super Senior Trophy of Players age 65-69 went to Lin Culver, and the Legend Trophy of players age 70+ went to Reggie Parker, who shot an impressive two-day total of 160. The fewest putts award went to Josie Herrera of Kwiniaska Golf Club with 21 putts over our Day 1 round!

Thank you to Josh Olney, Irene Farrar and all the folks at Orleans Country Club that welcomed the VSWGA and made this event so successful. Action pictures from the event will be sent out within a few days.

Major Tournaments
Tuesday, July 7
The Vermont Senior Amateur Championship kicked off on Saturday at Orleans Country Club with beautiful blue skies and gentle breezes. It was a stunning day in the Northeast Kingdom.
After 18 holes, Lin Culver of Neshobe Golf Club is currently in the lead shooting a 1-under par 71. Gretchen White of Williston Golf Club holds second place at a 2-over 74. Then Kristin Mahoney of Neshobe is at 78, Jeanne Morrissey of Williston is at 79, Reggie Parker of Ekwanok is at 81 and Susan Rand of Ralph Myhre is at 82. Six players follow up after that at 83.
Sunday will be exciting as there are many players that will be battling it out to land in the top 10 Gross and Net.
The Pat Job Cup competition is currently being led by the Williston Golf Club team (-10) holding a 3 stroke margin over Neshobe Golf Club (-7). Our Super Senior and Legend tournaments are also up for grabs.
We’re looking forward to another BVD (Beautiful Vermont Day) on Sunday, with great weather, great golf shots and a number of ladies taking a run at the trophy!
