After Saturday's opening round, Andrea Brown of Champlain and Holly Reynolds of Copley were tied for the lead with 75's.  Mary Brush of Burlington was two strokes back at 77.  Sunday dawned a beautiful, crisp, clear fall day to play golf in the Vermont mountains.  Andrea wasted no time building a three stroke lead over Holly after the first nine holes.  Holly got one of those strokes back, but missed birdie opportunities on 17 and 18 leaving Andrea with a two-stroke victory.  Andrea shot a very stead round of 78 to Holly's 80.  This is Andrea's fourth Mid-Amateur championship having previously won in 2002 at Crown Point, 2005 at Barre, and 2011 at Neshobe.

Reggie Parker of Ekwanok rebounded from her opening round of 83 firing the low round of the tournament, a 74, for a 157 total ending in third place.  Mary Brush of Burlington fired an 81 for a 158 total finishing in fourth place.  Nancy Devaux of West Bolton added another 80 to her opening 80 for a 160 total would have been in fifth place, however, she won the revolving low net trophy instead.  Margie Kaat of Ekwanok finished in fifth place at 164 and Patricia DeCaire of the Quechee Club finished in sixth place at 165.  Tracy Sloan of Brattleboro, Jeanne Morrissey of Williston, and Kristin Mahoney of Rutland all tied for seventh place with 167's.  Erika Politano of Green Mountain National, Amy Gregory of Burlington, Kathy Allbright of Green Mountain National, and Tiffany Maurycy of Williston all tied for tenth with scores of 168.
