NEWGA Results

Anna Grzbien of Rhode Island and Duke University fired a NEWGA record 66-66-74/206 to win the championship by 9 strokes over Susan Choi of Massachusetts.  Anna's  66 was also a Sunday River course record for women.

Vermont's three junior players, Molly Aronsson, Catherine Shomo, and Teo Poplawski, made a wonderful showing for Vermont as all three players finished in the top ten.  Molly, from Burlington Country Club, fired rounds of 80-76-75/231 to finish in a 7th place tie and also win the Junior title.  Catherine of Rutland and Teo of Champlain shot identical scores of 78-75-79/232 to finish one stroke behind Molly in a tie for 9th place.  This is likely the first time that three Vermont's have cracked the top ten.
